I don't understand why ZUN is so adamantly opposed to allowing the production of a Touhou anime. I mean, his work would get more exposure which means more money for him to buy beer.

I just finished playing the VN (Visual Novel), Brass Restoration and I really enjoyed it. It has just the right balance of quirky humor and dark drama.

In the story, you play Ryo, a talented percussionist who loses his arm in a horrific accident. The story begins on the day the accident occurs and then fast forwards several months in the future when Ryo is released from the hospital. Once you're back out in the world, you begin pursuing and forming bonds with the female protagonists in your life. Each girl has her own story arc and once you've picked one, you're stuck with that route until the end of the game. (Unless you have save points at critical points. Which you should.)

Brass Restoration is a freeware game developed by Twincle Drop and has been translated by this guy.

You can download the game through these links:

I just saw this while cruising the interwebs and I saw this beautiful Horo (from Spice and Wolf) figurine. Needless to say, I am now $200 poorer and I need to play the awful waiting game. How long does it take to ship from Hong Kong to New York? A week? A month?(oh god)

The Benefits of a Dakimakura

So, a lot of non-otakus have been bashing the dakimakura by saying it's "sad" and for "losers." But, little do they know that having a hug pillow is actually beneficial towards one's health.

The most obvious advantage of having a dakimakura is that you have something to hold onto and hug when you are sleeping. Of course having your waifu printed on the pillowcase just makes it better.

Sleeping on your side comes highly recommended by doctors, and having a dakimakura (or just a regular body pillow) to put your legs around helps support your hips, resulting in a more comfortable sleep.

Human beings are naturally social creatures, so it feels good and reduces stress when you're hugging something while you sleep. It doesn't matter that what you're hugging is a 2D anime character.
